Unstitched Suit Buying Guide
Buying an unstitched suit online is easier when you compare the contents of the set rather than relying on the model photograph alone. Use this guide alongside the individual product description on Selling.pk. It explains what to check before ordering, what to ask us when information is missing, and what to inspect before taking fabric to your tailor.
1. Start with the garment format
Read whether the listing says unstitched, semi-stitched or ready to wear. An unstitched set supplies fabric and any components explicitly listed; it still needs cutting and stitching. A photograph of a finished outfit shows a styling idea and does not by itself confirm that stitching, lining or accessories are included.
For a ready-to-wear item, compare the available size information with a garment that fits you comfortably. For an unstitched item, ask your tailor whether the stated fabric lengths and panel arrangement suit the style you want. Do not assume that a one-size fabric set will make every design or fit.
2. Check each piece separately
The number of pieces is only the starting point. Read the shirt, trouser and dupatta details individually. A three-piece listing may combine different fabrics, prints and embroidery treatments. Check the front, back and sleeves of the shirt as well as the dupatta and trouser.
For example, our Salitex Faustina WK-00992BUT listing describes an embroidered shirt front with printed lawn back and sleeves, an embroidered printed chiffon dupatta, and an unstitched dyed cambric trouser. That combination belongs to that article; another suit in the same brand can have different contents.
- Is the shirt front printed, embroidered or supplied as separate panels?
- Are the sleeves and back described separately?
- What fabric is specified for the dupatta and trouser?
- Are borders, patches or additional pieces explicitly included?
- Are fabric lengths stated? If they are missing, ask before ordering.
3. Separate the included items from styling
Model photographs can show shoes, jewellery, belts, tassels, ribbons or other finishing details. Count an accessory as included only when the product description says so. The Faustina listing, for instance, explains that extra finishing attachments used for the model shoot are not part of the unstitched dress.
If you want to recreate a photographed outfit, show the listing to your tailor first. Ask which extra materials or finishing work the design would require, and include those costs when comparing options.
4. Compare like with like
When comparing prices, first match the garment format, piece count and fabric combination. A shirt-only item is not directly comparable with a shirt, dupatta and trouser set. Likewise, check whether embroidery is described on the shirt only or on additional pieces.
Use the collection pages to narrow your search, then open the individual product pages for the details. Our Khaddar collection, Chiffon collection and Ajrak collection provide different starting points. Product descriptions take priority over assumptions based on a collection name.
5. Confirm the exact article
Record the product name, article code or SKU, and the colour or variant you selected. Similar-looking designs can have different article codes. When asking us a question, send the product link and code so we can identify the correct item.
Colours can appear different across screens and photographs. Compare all available images and ask for clarification if a particular shade is essential. Check the current product page for availability and the checkout for the order total before placing your order.
6. Read delivery and return information before paying
Review our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy before ordering. Read the conditions as well as the time window, including the required condition of an item and any return shipping costs. If you have a fixed event date, ask us about your destination and article before relying on an arrival date.
7. Inspect your order before cutting or stitching
Check the article code and the pieces against the listing when your parcel arrives. Look over the supplied fabric and embroidery before cutting, washing or stitching. Keep the packaging and order information while you check the contents. If something appears different from your order, contact us and review the return conditions before making alterations.
